These cells have a reported normal diploid karyotype at population doubling 61 but an abnormal karyotype at population doubling 82. They are telomerase negative.
Male, newborn.
AddexBio-formulated EMEM (C0005-01) + 10% FBS
Remove medium, and rinse with 0.05% trypsin, 0.03 mM EDTA solution. Remove the solution and add an additional 1 to 2 mL of trypsin-EDTA solution. Allow the flask to sit at room temperature (or at 37°C) until the cells detach. Add fresh culture medium, aspirate and dispense into new culture flasks. Culture at 5% CO2, 37°C. A subcultivation ratio of 1:2 to 1:9 is recommended. Renew medium once every 2 to 3 days depending on cell density.
