Trophoblastic Cancers

A gestational trophoblastic tumor (GTT) is a tumor that grows from the tissue that forms in the womb during pregnancy. They are very rare. They can be non cancerous (benign) or cancerous (malignant). They include molar pregnancy, persistent trophoblastic disease, placental site trophoblastic tumor (PSTT), and choriocarcinoma.
